After becoming very disillusioned with their web site since its launch
over 18 months ago The Kingston Theatre Hotel in Hull approached Concept
Websites Ltd to develop a marketing strategy for their Internet presence. "The web site itself didn't look too bad," explained Hotel Manager Gary Osborne " We had actually paid a local company quite a lot of money to produce it. The problem was that in over 18 months it hadn't generated any enquiries. When we searched for 'hotels in Hull', 'accommodation in Hull' or similar the site just never came up on any search engines. Clearly our initial investment at this stage had been wasted". Concept Websites Ltd suggested a promotion strategy that would generate enquiries through the web site based on achieving top ten search engine rankings with the likes of Yahoo and Google. Some major revisions were made to the web site, most of which were invisible to the naked eye, and the site promotion and hosting was taken over by Concept Websites Ltd. Surprising even themselves on this occasion, the web site www.kingstotheatrehotel.com achieved a top ten ranking with Yahoo in less than 2 weeks, and immediately following this an enquiry was received via the Internet from California for a booking. The web site generates over 250 visits every month and the enquiry level is steadily growing. Bookings have been taken from various countries as well as the UK and enquiry levels continue to grow. Managing Director of Concept Websites Ltd, David White commented
that "like so many 'web design companies', this is an example
of how a website has been developed for a client, then left to 'look
after itself'. Such is the volume of web sites on the Internet now
that very specialist skills are needed to achieve top ten Search Engine
results. "We have experienced first hand many times over the
incredible results that these high rankings can have on a business". E-MAIL
