The UK has gone personalised registration numbers plate crazy over the last 10 years. A registration numbers plate does not have to be put onto a vehicle; it can be kept on a retention certificate. This is renewable every year for a fee of £25 (Current DVLA fee). The current fee to transfer between two cars is £80 and to take off a vehicle and put onto a retention certificate is £105. numbers and letters, names have also become very desirable and prices
have risen considerably. Now that we have two registration releases
every year (1st March and 1st September) and since the new style registration
was introduced it has encouraged more people in the UK to look for
there own personalised registration numbers.
